" I believe small actions can create big change, and the Millennium Fellowship is a chance to work with others who share that belief to make a real difference. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Naqsh
Project Naqsh is a campus-based initiative committed to fostering inclusion and accessibility by integrating Indian Sign Language (ISL) into the campus culture. Aligned with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), the project aims to create a community grounded in empathy and communication equity. It encourages students, faculty, and staff to view sign language as a bridge rather than a barrier. True to its name, Project Naqsh seeks to leave a lasting mark on how our campus connects and communicates. Between August and December 2025, the project will host at least two interactive sign language workshops to equip participants with practical skills, develop both digital and print starter guides to reach over 3,000 community members, and train at least 20 student volunteers as peer accessibility ambassadors. Through workshops, peer-led sessions, and dynamic campaigns, Project Naqsh will cultivate a more inclusive and connected campus environment.
