" I have learned skills I once never imagined I could, and they have transformed my life, making it easier and more hopeful than before. I want to share this same opportunity with other girls in Afghanistan, so they too can discover their potential and create brighter futures for themselves. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Skills for Freedom

The project we are working on is called "Skills for Freedom" which is a learning project that helps young people, especially girls from Afghanistan, gain important skills for their future. The project has two main parts: English Communication and Digital Literacy.
Through English classes, students learn how to speak and write with confidence. The digital literacy classes teach them how to use computers, websites, and online tools that can help them study and work. For example, they learn how to create CVs and resumes and prepare for scholarships and use different tools and websites. We also created a Facebook page to share what we learn with others. There, we post short lessons, learning tips, and useful resources in English and Dari so more people can benefit.
Our goal is to give young people the skills they need to learn, work, and grow no matter where they are. We believe that education brings freedom, and that every girl deserves the chance to build her own future.
