" "I am eager to work in social services and have already begun my journey through a small team of six members dedicated to supporting people who cannot work or earn a living. With the guidance and resources of the Millennium Fellowship, I believe I can expand our impact and create more sustainable solutions for those in need." "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Anondo Dhara
Anondo Dhara is a project focused on spreading happiness, strength, and support among students at the Asian University for Women (AUW). We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health, but often it doesn't get enough attention, especially in busy academic environments. Many students silently deal with stress, anxiety, loneliness, and self-doubt. Through ,Anondo Dhara, we want to create a space where students feel safe to talk about their feelings, learn healthy ways to manage stress, and support each other. We plan to organize small mental health workshops, awareness sessions, and group activities where students can share experiences, practice self-care, and build resilience together. Topics will include managing academic pressure, understanding emotions, building healthy habits, and supporting friends who might be struggling. We will also invite mental health professionals to guide us when needed. Our goal is to build a stronger, kinder AUW community where students don’t feel alone in their challenges. Through this project, we hope to start small ripples of change — so that conversations around mental health become as normal as talking about physical health. Because every mind matters, and every student deserves to feel supported.
