United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Sustainable Green Plantation Initiative

Our project is the plantation project to create sustainable green environment. The project plan is long-term and need a few year to get the benefit as this is plantation project. We plan to work with the local organization to make effective and efficient working environment. Our project focuses on SDG goal 13 climate action to reduce the rapid climate change by restoring the environment with trees.

About the Millennium Fellow

Nanggaw Htoi Nan is a young and passionate Environmental Sciences student at Asian University For Women(AUW). She was born and raised in Kachin State of Myanmar. Nanggaw has always been passionate about her advocacies for the rights to live in healthy environments and the right of nature. Throughout her university years, she has contributed as volunteer in community development and environmental projects, she plans to continue in the future. Nanggaw aspires to be in a professional field where she can cultivate her advocacies and provide her own contribution in United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
