" I am passionate about empowering women and expanding access to education and health awareness in my community. I am attracted to the Millennium Fellowship because it offers a chance to collaborate with peers who have a shared vision, develop my leadership capacity, and align efforts with the UNAI values and SDGs. I dream of turning my ideas into reality through sustainable action and producing meaningful impact through this initiative. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Education for Afghan Women

My project focuses on empowering Afghan women and girls through vocational and professional education. Due to current restrictions in Afghanistan, millions of women and girls have lost access to both schooling and employment. This project aims to create alternative learning pathways that support their personal and economic independence.
The program provides two types of training based on age groups. For teenage girls and young women who are unable to attend school, we offer courses in English, computer literacy, communication skills, and basic artificial intelligence. These skills will help them continue learning online and prepare for future educational opportunities.
For adult women who lost their jobs—especially those previously working in the social service sector—we provide training in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and small business development. The goal is to help them build sustainable income sources and re-enter the economic sector with confidence.
