" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it gives me the chance to use my skills as a recruiter to help students who don't have access to career guidance. I believe every student deserves the tools and confidence to chase their goals and to discover broader options once they can work on the right skills during their studies. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: CareerPath

CareerPath is a campus-based initiative designed to give students especially those who are underprivileged, the tools and confidence to navigate their career journey. Many students don’t know where to begin with job searches, applications, or connecting with recruiters. As a tech recruiter, I want to provide free advice, resources, and insights so students can learn how to help themselves throughout this process. Since the job market keeps changing, the aim is not to teach one fixed method, but to empower students with adaptable strategies they can use at any stage of their careers.
Following are a few goals that i wanna make sure to help students
-Host 3-4 sessions on campus focused on career navigation and self-reliance.
-Reach at least 100-150 students with advice, resources, and recruiter insights.
-Create simple guides/checklists to help students practice career skills on their own.
-Connect students with industry professionals for real-world perspectives.

About the Millennium Fellow

Maheen Fatima is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Air University. During her studies, she noticed that many people lacked awareness about career opportunities, job search techniques, and how to present themselves to recruiters. Drawing on her experience as a tech recruiter, she founded a business that provides resume reviews, LinkedIn optimization, and job application support, helping many professionals secure jobs. Realizing that most students cannot afford these services, she is now launching a free campus program to offer career advice, portfolio guidance, job search techniques, and opportunities to connect with recruiters and industry experts.
