" Passion for the restoration of the environment and community service drives me to work on sustainable agriculture and large-scale plantation. Being a Millennium Fellow will sharpen these skills through teamwork and global collaboration. The learning and connections I acquire will imbue my contributions toward climate action and biodiversity conservation with greater substance and alignment with the UNAI values and SDGs 13 and 15. I look forward to developing my leadership capabilities by motivating communities globally to take concrete, collective actions toward a healthier, greener world. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Horizons: Planting for a Sustainable Future

"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second-best time is now." My project's main goal is to engage communities in plantation and sustainable farming to make our surroundings healthier and greener. I have raised awareness campaigns and inspired people to plant trees, but now I want to take it one step further. In order to provide students with first-hand experience, I will plan field trips to parks and farming centers. Through my links with government bodies such as NARC, I can channel resources and professional help to our mission. Fast-growing trees that are suitable for the local environment and don't trigger allergies will be planted in high-pollution areas, such as industrial zones, as part of a massive tree-planting campaign. In order to lower energy expenses and naturally cool their homes, people will also be urged to plant trees in their homes. I'll set up groups on social media so that participants can stay involved, share their progress, and receive professional guidance. I will further motivate students by awarding them badges and treats! I will inform communities about sustainable farming, research opportunities, and environmental conservation through seminars and events that include government officials and agricultural specialists.
