" The skills and network I gain from the Millennium Fellowship will provide me the opportunity to do great things from a small place. I am eager to learn from like minded people and share ideas that would inspire me to do more for my community "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Bridging The Gap
The project 'Bridging the Gap' focuses on making education more accessible to the less privileged. At bridging the gap, we encourage donations of educational materials, which include notebooks, writing materials, including pen and pencils, old textbooks, and storybooks, from well-meaning individuals. The project is aimed primarily at children in primary and junior secondary schools. We organize tutorials for students who need extra support and also do some fundraising for school fees when we can and cater for out-of-school students. Extracurricular activities like music, sports and arts are also part of our curriculum, where we identify students with exceptional talents and encourage them by providing equipment they need to improve their skills and talents.
