United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: EduImpact Initiative

This EduImpact Initiative seeks to educate and empower students to make informed career decisions, effectively navigate university systems, and maximize their time in school through skill-building and practical engagement.
In addition to personal development, the project emphasizes environmental consciousness, teaching students about responsible plastic waste disposal and recycling as part of building a sustainable future.
It also addresses the aspect of proper menstrual care.
Its objectives is to, guide students in identifying and pursuing the right career paths. Train them to access and utilize university opportunities and platforms effectively.
Equip them with practical skills to create personal and community impact.
Promote environmental sustainability through education on proper waste management and recycling.
Promote proper menstrual health through sensitization. This is to be done through awareness through flyers and social media campaigns, capacity-building trainings and webinars, one-on-one mentorship and peer learning sessions, environmental education and community recycling drives.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ndiformutieh Jafarou Nyikonwaah is an undergraduate student studying nursing and midwifery in the university of Bamenda.He is a citizen of Cameroon where he is currently pursuing his undergraduate degree. He is enthusiastic and passionate about advocating for gender equality and human rights. He loves technological innovations and how they can positively impact the health industry.He plans on completing his undergraduate program and applying for medical school in order to gain more knowledge in the health industry.
