United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Talk Cancer Away

The talk cancer away project is basically going to be focused on spreading awareness about cancer in various places such as communities and schools.
It will focus on enlightening people about the causes, signs and symptoms of some common types of cancer affecting people in this area such as breast cancer, cervical cancer and prostate cancer.
This way, people are well informed and know when to seek medical care upon finding an anomaly.
As some of this cancer are completely preventable if initial lesions are detected early.
The earlier it is detected, the higher the chances of survival.

About the Millennium Fellow

Khalil Muhd Ibrahim is a 500-level medical student with a passion for both the science and the art of medicine.Debouted to community health,he has led many public health initiatives,he has volunteered in his locality primary health care facility,and participated in awareness campaigns on diseases such as tuberculosis and malaria to mention some.He currently serves as Secretary General of the Kano State Medical Students Association and President of the Kumbotso Medical Students Association.he is aspiring to join oncology and neurosurgery,Khalil combines academic excellence with leadership and service to to tackle pressing health challenges.
