United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Improving Higher Education Access in Waco

The Improving Higher Education Access in Waco initiative partnered with AVID, an international program focused on providing college education prep to students with limited resources. Fellows each mentored two middle or high school students in the Waco community on what college looks like, how to succeed in college, fellows delivered presentations to over 8 local schools. and hosted an on-campus college day where students aged 12-17 came to Baylor University for a day, attended classes, and engaged in classroom activities.

About the Millennium Fellow

Amitaj Chandarraju is a junior Corporate Communications major and Business Administration minor at Baylor University in Waco Texas. Amitaj is passionate about helping others and being an active participant in the communities he is apart of. Amitaj is a hard worker when it comes to the things he cares about and needs to do. He hopes to grow in his studies, communities and himself though the Millennium Fellowship.
