United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Improving Higher Education Access in Waco

The Improving Higher Education Access in Waco initiative partnered with AVID, an international program focused on providing college education prep to students with limited resources. Fellows each mentored two middle or high school students in the Waco community on what college looks like, how to succeed in college, fellows delivered presentations to over 8 local schools. and hosted an on-campus college day where students aged 12-17 came to Baylor University for a day, attended classes, and engaged in classroom activities.

About the Millennium Fellow

Gianna Bolla is a passionate pre-law student from Baylor University who is studying political science and Italian. She is looking to pursue a career in international law or diplomacy fueled by her appreciation for all cultures and desire to connect with them. She has had the privileged to travel the world studying global issues and is thrilled to be a Millennium Fellow where she can expand her knowledge of the Sustainable Development Goals and further her skills as a global citizen.
