" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it provides the opportunity to collaborate with peers who share a commitment to community impact and positive change. My experiences working with diverse groups have shown me the power of partnerships in creating meaningful outcomes. Through the fellowship, I look forward to building connections, amplifying voices, and contributing to initiatives that foster inclusivity, dialogue, and collective action in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Millennium Fellowship Project: Voices of Vision

Voices of Vision is a storytelling project designed to highlight diverse experiences of those connected to the Bentley Service-Learning and Civic Engagement Center (BSLCE). This includes students, faculty, alumni, staff, and community partners. Through interviews and first-person narratives, we aim to explore individuals’ motivations for engaging in service work and the impact these experiences have had on their personal and professional journeys. We hope to capture some of the many perspectives that encompass the BSLCE and begin to tell “our story.” Storytelling is a powerful tool for empathy. At a time when political and social divisions feel especially strong, we hope these stories foster deeper understanding and more compassionate conversations that help bridge divides between our Bentley “bubble” and the community around us. The final product will include an interactive website and printed resource which will serve as a reflection of the BSLCE’s mission for continued dialogue around differing perspectives. To celebrate the project’s launch, we’ll host an event featuring artwork inspired by the stories and talks from featured participants. Looking ahead, we’ll build on the momentum of this project through follow-up gatherings focused on various SDGs, so community members with shared interests have a platform to take meaningful action.
