" There are many things I am passionate about and making impact in my community is at the top of that list. And I know being a part of this fellowship would not only stimulate this passion further but give me the platform for this passion to be expressed. A lot of time one would want to make change but not know where to start, being a part of this won't only be a starting point but the caliber of people that I would have the privileged to come in contact with would open me up to the all the possibilities. I am truly excited for all this program would hold! "

Millennium Fellowship Project: PENTAPACT: 5 goals one commitment

Project Pentapact is an initiative that aims to work on 5 SDGs we have identified in our local community that needs to be addressed.
As a campus, our target locations include a school and a primary healthcare center. For the school we are working towards providing some basic educational materials, addressing the rising issue of gambling practice, discrimination against girls, handwashing and menstrual hygiene. For the primary healthcare center we are working towards providing some basic equipments routinely used in practice to maintain aseptic procedures, free hand sanitizers to the people we meet on the day of the outreach and also awareness on mental health.
The target is to bridge the gap that exists between knowledge and access in local communities.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ireoluwatomiwa Fadipe is a 4th-year medical student at Bingham University, Jos, Nigeria. Passionate about equality, she believes education is key to creating equal opportunities. She has volunteered in several projects and outreaches to underprivileged communities and hopes to expand her impact. A proven leader from secondary school through university, she has refined her skills while witnessing how ignorance can reduce one's standard of living and contribute to suffering. This has fueled her commitment to education, skill acquisition, and sensitization programs, with plans to organize more community-based health awareness initiatives after graduation.
