" Being a Millennium Fellow provides a broader platform and more opportunities through which mental health awareness can be raised, being someone who knows how it feels to be in such a space, I believe I would be able to achieve these goals effectively and efficiently and it is my goal to see a world where mental health is no longer stigmatised and facilities for care are readily available to the general public. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Improving Mental Health in Young Adults (IMHYA)

IMHYA is a youth-led mental health initiative. The project focuses on helping students understand common mental health challenges, reducing stigma, and providing practical tools they can use in their daily lives.
Through workshops, peer listening circles, and digital awareness campaigns, IMHYA makes mental health education accessible, relatable, and culturally sensitive. IMHYA aims to build a supportive community where young adults feel seen, heard, and safe enough to speak up about their struggles. The long-term vision is to create a sustainable model that can continue even beyond the fellowship.
