Millennium Fellowship Project: Light for Learning: Solar Study Lamp Initiative

“Light for Learning” is a student-led initiative bringing solar-powered study lamps to rural Bangladeshi students who lack reliable electricity. In many homes, learning stops at sunset due to darkness or the harmful fumes of kerosene lamps. Our project replaces these with affordable, clean, and sustainable solar lighting — empowering children to study safely at night, reducing carbon emissions, and improving educational outcomes. By combining renewable energy solutions with community engagement, we aim to light not just homes, but futures.
