" “I believe every woman deserves to feel safe, confident and empowered with the skills to shape her own future. The team led initiative at the Millennium Fellowship will connect me with the mentorship and collaboration of like-minded change makers to create that meaningful impact for women everywhere”. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: SafeNet

SafeNet is a digital empowerment initiative designed to help women in Bangladesh and beyond to navigate the online world with confidence and safety. Through engaging video content and interactive conversations, SafeNet aims to equip women with practical knowledge on the cyber world along with online privacy, recognizing cyber threats, and building secure digital habits. The videos will include simple checklists and easy to follow guides. The mission is to turn awareness into action, and action into a safer digital community for every woman out there. The measurable goals I aim to accomplish within August- December of 2025 would be to create and post at least 10 educational reels across social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. Each reel will focus on a single cyber safety topic (passwords, privacy settings, scams, etc.) or promote computer skills necessary for a better future. These will be learning videos where reach would be ensured through viewer engagement and interactions. To promote SafeNet, art and creativity will be merged to create promotional flyers across the campus. As a part of the plan to launch resources to follow up with these videos there will be a downloadable “SafeNet Cyber Safety Checklist” in Bangla and English by November 2025 to help both local and global audience. The goal of this project is to reach and educate as many women as it can about computer-based skills, cyber threats and exploitation prevention.
