" I hope to join the Millennium Fellowship program to learn from experts and help people while upholding the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. I do the work I do because, from childhood, I learned how much the poor people suffer in Bangladesh, both in my village and beyond. I want to allow them to work and get what they deserve. Therefore, I want to take my "Minimize cost, maximize food" project to the next level when I become an entrepreneur after completing a PhD. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Minimize Cost, Maximize Food

Maintaining food security is a dream for an underdeveloped country like Bangladesh. As my hometown is in a rural area in Bangladesh and most of the people are farmer here, I want to make a volunteer team first to address this community issue under my project. They will let the farmers know about the importance of diversification in the cultivation of different kinds of crops, as they are more prone to cultivating rice only. Besides, I already discussed with a software company regarding making a website and a mobile app that will update the price of every commodity regularly. Our team will help the farmers to set up their custom profile so that they can get the updated price of their cultivated crops. Lastly, to minimize the storing time of crops, I want to talk with the government personnel so that farmers and consumers can directly complain to the police in case of a price hike by the syndicate party and using harmful chemicals. So that the government can take action, respectively.
