Millennium Fellowship Project: PCOS Awareness Among Teenagers in Underprivileged Schools.
This project focuses on creating PCOS awareness among teenage girls studying in underprivileged schools, where health education is often limited. Many students do not know what PCOS is or how it affects their body, so we aim to explain it in very simple language through awareness sessions. These sessions will cover symptoms, causes, prevention tips, and when they should seek medical help. We will also share easy lifestyle tips like healthy eating, basic exercises, and stress control. To support learning, we will provide posters, leaflets, and short videos. The project will encourage open conversations so girls feel comfortable talking about menstrual and hormonal health. Overall, the goal is to give young girls correct knowledge, help them recognize early signs of PCOS, and reduce stigma, leading to better health, confidence, and well-being.
