Millennium Fellowship Project: School Gardens for Food Security & Income Generation

The School Gardens for Food Security and Income Generation (SGFIG) project seeks to empower students and schools in Mwanza by establishing sustainable gardens. These gardens will produce nutritious food for school meals and generate income through the sale of surplus produce. The initiative will be piloted in selected primary, secondary, and advanced schools with the long-
term vision of expanding across the region to foster self-reliance, promote environmental stewardship, and enhance educational opportunities around agriculture and sustainability.
