United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Hepatitis awareness together for a healthier future

Promoting hepatitis awareness in family and community level by addressing its major ways of transmission, signs and symptoms associated with the disease. Promoting awareness on possible risks that can predispose an individual in getting a disease and accepted ways on how to combat and prevent it by ensuring that each individual is protected by being vaccinated.

About the Millennium Fellow

Yacinter Vedastus is an enthusiastic and self driven youth at the Catholic University of Health and Allied sciences. With two years of experience, Yacinter is committed to advancing learning through research, leadership, community services and programmes.
Beyond her academic arena, Yacinter is an active and dedicated leader always ready to serve passionately. Currently she serves as as the Project Coordinator at Student One Health Innovation Club (SOHIC), she is also a community engagement officer in Youth Health Action Network (YOHAN) Tanzania. In these leadership regimes she has successfully organized numerous initiatives and programmes including Gender Based Violence and Youth led Research Programme at YOHAN Tanzania, participated in data collection determining human resources in different organisations under SOHIC club, performed survey on management and treatment of clubfoot under Tanzania Club foot Care organisation (TCCO)
Yacinter's commitment to personal and professional growth is majorly accelerated through networking by connecting with like minded individuals who have greatest interests and aspirations in doing things, bringing out ideas into reality. Looking ahead with a long term goal of working as a change maker who leverages research, advocacy, and leadership so as to create sustainable solutions in healthcare.
