" I am excited to join the Millennium campus network program because I believe this fellowship to be an avenue for me to build on my tailored aspirations in the field of health care. This fellowship will help me build on my social impact in general as it will give me an opportunity to engage with the community and help me to contribute my quota and understand more about the real life scenarios of Health care. I always want to connect with like-minded people through collaboration, mentorship, and access to a global network of change makers interested in Public Health, Research and Innovations. I want to learn and unlearn from the amazing and exceptional Mentees we have on board and this fellowship will equip me with the skills, resources, and connections necessary to expand my oral health awareness initiative and make it more impactful and sustainable. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Healthy Smiles Initiative
One of the most serious issue affecting my community seems to be the poor oral health amongst the people of the community and the inadequacy of our healthcare system towards tackling such challenge through little or no awareness programs. There are several reasons that ignite my interests in such aspect, some of which include increased level of bad breath and also incidence of tooth decay and cavities among the residents . Social impact projects and public awareness programs focusing on general oral health and hygiene providing affordable dental care in underprivileged communities is key to tackling the poor oral health. The Community can sustain this intervention through firm adherence to the various prescribed oral health measures been introduced during the program
