Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Education for All
Green Education For All is an initiative to create proper and necessary awareness about the impacts of climate change on animals, plants, earth and we human being. It's an initiative that has been going on for a year now, going to secondary schools and universities to create awareness on the negative effect of our daily actions, like cutting down trees, dropping wastes and plastic pollution around the school environment and our homes and how to preserve the earth for the future generations, making them know things to do, like proper disposal of waste, the recycling methods and planting of trees amongst other things for sustainable future.
About the Millennium Fellow
Maryam Muhammad is a fifth year law student of Bayero University Kano, Nigeria. Born on the 16th day of August 2001 in Enugu Ezike of Enugu State Nigeria to the Family of Mr. and Mrs. Ibrahim Muhammad. Maryam Muhammad is a passionate advocate for climate action and gender equality, this passion have in several ways fueled her commitment to several projects and programs in relation to climate action education and gender equality. Maryam Muhammad is a student SGBV Champion of the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Foundation that drives initiatives on SGBV on her campus and beyond. Maryam Muhammad also works with an NGO (Project EHD) in promoting the global goals and also environmental sustainability.
