Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Future Initiative
This project focuses on educating people, especially youth, about climate change, its causes, impacts, and actionable solutions, while promoting environmental stewardship through tree planting. The initiative targets the wider community and has achieved several milestones, including raising climate awareness among 50+ participants, planting over 50 trees, establishing a functional Climate Action Club, improving waste management awareness, and strengthening collaboration between youth, schools, and local bodies. The project empowers participants to take informed action toward a more sustainable and resilient environment.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ruqayya Aminu Ahmad is an ambitious young girl,born and brought up in Nigeria. A current level 200 student of Bayero University Kano,in the department of Environmental health science. She is a person with determination and resilience hoping and willing to make a positive impact in the community in which she lives and the world at large.
