" As a Millennium Fellow, I hope to get a unique opportunity to connect with a global platform and engage with emerging leaders from diverse backgrounds. It will help me exchange innovative ideas and receive valuable guidance. I am hopeful that this experience will enable me to refine my initiatives and adopt more creative approaches to expand the development initiatives for my community. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Dignity in Every Cycle

Many women in my community, especially in rural areas, don’t have access to proper menstrual hygiene products or the right information about staying healthy during their periods. Some use old clothes or even paper instead of sanitary pads, which can lead to infections and serious health problems like reproductive issues and even cancer. My project focuses on raising awareness about menstrual health and hygiene through community workshops and medical camps. We educate women about safe practices, provide free medical consultations for those already facing health issues, and work to make sanitary products more affordable. I also plan to expand the project by forming a team and raising funds to distribute low-cost menstrual pads to women who can’t afford them. At the end of the day, I want to break the silence around periods, help women take better care of their health, and make sure every woman has access to safe and affordable menstrual products.
