Millennium Fellowship Project: Know Your Rights Campaign

The Know Your Rights Campaign is a civic awareness marketing tool initiated by the Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, through the Millennium Fellowship 2025 synonymous with SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
This project was to involve teaching the youth about their constitutional rights and responsibilities as citizens to enable them become knowledgeable and active citizens. The campaign resulting in increased awareness, workshops, and community outreach was able to engage over 100 students and the local residents and lead the discussion related to the topics of justice, equality, and transparency.
Urdu and English educational resources made learning about intricate legal issues easier and forums of youth dialogue promoted free debates concerning corruption, gender equality, and social justice.
The campaign was focused on the fact that genuine democracy flourishes when people are aware and actualize their rights. Through personalizing civic education and linking it with their real-life concerns, the campaign made young people believe that civic education is not meaningless to them.
Know Your Rights in a way turned awareness into action, the raising of a generation of people who were prepared to take a stand to ensure peace, justice and accountability.
