United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Furry Friends Forever

Furry Friends Forever is an initiative led by Millennium Fellow Masooma Furry Friends Forever is an initiative led by Millennium Fellow Masooma Shakeel to address the rising issue of pet abandonment in Multan. The project will provide immediate care for abandoned animals through a foster network, while raising awareness about responsible pet ownership and collaborating with veterinary partners for affordable treatment. During the Millennium Fellowship period (August–December 2025), Furry Friends Forever aims to rescue and rehome at least 300 animals, establish a network of at least 10 foster families, and organize 2 awareness events/month reaching more than 300 people/event. By combining compassion with community action, the project seeks to build a sustainable model that reduces abandonment and improves animal welfare.Shakeel to address the rising issue of pet abandonment in Multan. About the Millennium Fellow

Hamd Jalali is a passionate and goal-driven student at Bahauddin Zakariya University, born in Pakistan and residing in Multan. With a vision to become a successful businessman and philanthropist, he has earned recognition through a Certificate of Appreciation for his contribution to BrandScale and an IKLC Special Ballpoint award. Hamd is deeply committed to social causes, aspiring to establish accessible blood donation systems and advocating for the protection, dignity, and justice for children, especially in cases of sexual abuse, harassment, and exploitation. He envisions a future where his work creates meaningful change in both business and humanitarian fields.
