Millennium Fellowship Project: Nourishing Hope
Nourishing Hope is a Millennium Fellowship Project that tackles food insecurity and malnutrition in underprivileged communities by converting surplus spinach into dehydrated spinach powder. This initiative reduces food waste, promotes sustainable food preservation, and provides an affordable, nutrient-rich ingredient for healthy meals in marginalized areas.
About the Millennium Fellow
Maryam Yasmeen is a bright and competitive food scientist and technologist at the institute of Bahauddin Zakariya University. She was born in Pakistan, resides in Punjab. She has successfully done internships regarding food quality and safety, and has worked in a lab in the international industry which through her outstanding leadership, she plans to continue in the future.
Maryam aspires to be in professional field where she can provide her contribution in the development of the United Nations sustainable goals.
As she has a kind heart, she is passionate about child empowerment, and social justice.
