Bahauddin Zakariya University | Multan, Pakistan | Advancing SDG 4 & UNAI 6

" I believe education is the most powerful tool to unlock potential and break cycles of inequality. Through the Millennium Fellowship, I am excited to connect with like-minded change makers, share ideas, and turn our collective vision into action. My work supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Quality Education (SDG 4) and Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), by building inclusive spaces where knowledge flows freely, empowering every learner—regardless of background—to dream bigger and achieve more. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: PeerBridgeSkills
PeersBridgeSkills is a project aimed at helping students from a girls’ government school in Pakistan develop basic practical and professional skills. Many of these students don’t usually get opportunities to practice communication or confidence-building activities, so our team of university students visited their school every week to work with them.
Our target group was girls aged 13–14. We conducted simple and interactive activities such as public speaking games, English-speaking exercises, group work, and small tasks like describing their day. These sessions were designed to be fun and easy so the students could learn without feeling pressured.
By the end of the project, we saw clear improvements. The girls became more confident, more willing to speak, and more comfortable participating in group activities. Their communication skills improved, and they showed a greater interest in learning. Overall, the project created a positive space where they could grow and express themselves.
