" Being part of the Millennium Fellowship will help our cause: fighting climate change, become stronger and well known, as it is a problem that affects us all indiscriminately. The skills that I will gain and the different things that I will learn can really help me work on this objective and become an agent of positive change. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: TerraVita
TerraVita is a student group that involves students from High-school and University in which we are all interested in the environment and trying to make a positive change regarding climate change and environmental problems in our city. We do different activities such as cleaning of ecosystems such as beaches, recycling sessions once a month, some events, etc., and all of them have the purpose of making conscience in our community (which involves our city and school) about climate change and responsible habits of consumption. We conform different parts of the project as different coordinations, such as social media, finances, logistics and president, in which each coordination has a number of members that work on reaching different goals depending on the coordination. TerraVita also is very close to the ONU's SDGs and we also try to make conscience about them to ultimately make our world a better place for us. We also reach different organizations and other projects to build collaborations and be part of a big community of environmental enthusiasts to change (or preserve) our present and future against climate change and global warming.
