" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because I see it as an opportunity to strengthen my leadership and organizational skills, as I am eager to improve in these areas. The fellowship will not only enhance my ability to manage a team and a project but also allow me to raise awareness of the issues I have been committed to in recent years. I look forward to engaging my university community on a deeper level and working collaboratively to make an impact. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Mind The Gap: Gender Pay Inequality

My project aims to raise awareness about Austria’s gender pay gap, which is currently the second-highest in the EU at 18%. In collaboration with the CEU Office of Inclusion, Diversity, and Equality, which actively works on gender equality and pay transparency, I organized an event titled “Mind the Gap: Gender Inequality in CEU, in Austria and Beyond.” Held on 17 November, the date symbolically marks the point in the year from which women in Austria effectively “work for free” compared to men. The event aimed to educate and engage participants through interactive discussions on the structural and cultural drivers of the gender pay gap. By fostering dialogue among CEU students and community members beyond the university, the project encourages participants to advocate for equal pay and broader gender equality.
