" I strongly believe that intercultural communication and collaboration are vital to face the injustices in today’s world. Being part of the Millennium Fellowship allows me to be part of this communication and thus benefit from it. Through this opportunity, I aim to create spaces in which others get the same opportunity and are able to learn through intercultural exchanges. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Let's Intersect - Understanding Global Justice
Let’s Intersect: Understanding Global Justice is an online short course created to educate and engage high school students on urgent global issues such as climate justice, gender inequalities, the impacts of colonialism, through an intersectional lens. The project emerged from our shared desire to create an accessible, inclusive, and intercultural space where young people can critically reflect on the world around them and begin developing the tools necessary to participate in global justice conversations. Rooted in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the UNAI principles, the initiative seeks to empower youth through education while encouraging dialogue across differences.
About the Millennium Fellow
Growing up, Lucia Fani Losleben had the privileged to experience different cultures, stories, and people. When she had the opportunity, she applied and attended the United World College in Dilijan, Armenia, where she was able to deepen this intercultural knowledge and participate in many discussions that encouraged different perspectives and solutions. She continues to study at the Central European University, where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Culture, Politics, and Society with a special focus on Social and Environmental Studies. With the help of this fellowship, she aims to apply the knowledge she has gained so far.
