Millennium Fellowship Project: Business Survival Simulator

Most people want to start their own business in the 21st century but many of them do not succeed. Many a times, the unsuccessful ones are those at the small and medium scale. Most businesses at this level are prone to financial mismanagement as every decision regardless of department has a financial implication. Entrepreneurs at this level do not understand financing, cost control, and operation optimization. Not only the entrepreneur but also the employees in different departments are not aware of how their decisions financially affect the business. They do not realise that decisions regarding sales, production, marketing and finance are not exclusively related to a single function but they are interdependent. My solution to solve this problem is to create a simulator where the user can select his/her industry of choice and run a virtual business. The user will face challenges similar to those mentioned before. This will help them learn how to make financially conscious decisions to make their business successful.
