" I believe change begins in the spaces where silence breaks. The Millennium Fellowship is a chance to turn the empathy I've got towards the people into action, amplify voices that go unheard, and create a space where we can collaborate on ideas to create a lasting change. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Echoes of Silence
Echoes of Silence is a social impact initiative aimed at creating safe, supportive spaces where women can openly share their experiences or express their emotions without fear of judgment. The project recognizes that many women carry unspoken pain due to societal pressure and aims to transform this silence into strength by providing both online and offline avenues for expression.
Through sharing circles, anonymous story submissions, and collaborations with mental-health advocates, the initiative encourages emotional release, self-awareness, and healing. These activities help women feel heard, validated, and understood, even if they choose not to speak openly.
Overall, Echoes of Silence works to build a compassionate community rooted in empathy and solidarity, ensuring that no woman feels alone or voiceless.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ditti Ramani is a second-year BBA student in Finance and International Business at Christ (Deemed to be) University. She is a storyteller and changemaker who believes that kindness lies within. Through her ideas of work with marginalized communities and women's empowerment, she believes in creating safe spaces where unheard voices find courage. Her passion for writing and relating things to understand the meaning behind the existence of things is rooted in the philosophy that words can dismantle prejudice and ignite transformation. Guided by both compassion and conviction, Ditti strives to blend social action with art (both words written and said), leaving behind ripples that grow into waves.
