" I believe that knowledge is most powerful when it is shared. The Millennium Fellowship is a chance to turn my ideas into action, connect with others who care deeply, and create meaningful change in the communities that have shaped me. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Cycle Redefined
Cycle REDefined is a student-led project focused on addressing period poverty and making conversations about menstruation feel normal on campus. We ran a sanitary pad collection drive, shared awareness posts, and encouraged open discussions in classrooms and student groups. This helped students realise that period poverty exists close to home and that even small contributions matter. We collected over 200 sanitary pads and partnered with the Tare Zameen Foundation to make sure they reached women and girls who needed them. The project ran on donations and campus support, and it helped create a more comfortable, informed environment for talking about menstrual health.
