" Empathy and equity drive my work in psychology and social advocacy. The Millennium Fellowship offers a platform to transform these values into sustainable action—connecting with diverse change makers, amplifying mental health awareness, and advancing the UN SDGs. I am excited to learn, lead, and co-create solutions that make the world a little less lonely and a lot more just. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Unlabel

As a sociology student, I am deeply passionate about creating impact, connecting with people, and learning from diverse perspectives. This project is especially personal to me — and both nerve-wracking and thrilling — because it aims to destigmatize mental health and identity through a culturally sensitive lens. While I am the only member of my team applying for the Millennium Fellowship, I will be leading a group of volunteers who share the same passion and vision. Using art, poetry, and theatrics, I aim to spread awareness and connect with students from 11th grade to second-year undergraduates. I plan to launch a website to document and share the stories we gather — both those told to us and those we tell ourselves. Through an online storytelling campaign, offline workshops conducted in an unconventionally-interactive manner, and by creating safe spaces for dialogue, I hope to build genuine understanding and connection. My creativity runs as deep as the ocean, and I am committed to bringing that depth to this project. I am ambitious, sincere, and driven by an inner fire to see this through — for the little me, and for the thousands of others who will see themselves reflected in this work.
