Millennium Fellowship Project: SKILL UP:FUTURE READY STUDENTS

Skill Up: Future-Ready Students is an initiative aimed at strengthening foundational learning among government school children. The project focuses on building general knowledge, improving English exposure, and developing essential life skills through interactive teaching sessions. We covered topics such as days of the week, seasons, weather, community helpers, transport, hygiene, and basic geography to enhance students’ understanding of the world around them.

About the Millennium Fellow

Jahanvi Bhardwaj is a dedicated Finance major at Christ University, Bengaluru, and an aspiring Chartered Accountant. Born and raised in a small tribal town in India, she has witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by underprivileged communities, particularly due to lack of educational opportunities. This realization shaped her deep commitment to driving social change through education and empowerment of women. She has volunteered over 60 hours tutoring girls at a shelter home in personal finance, mathematics, and English to equip them with practical tools for self-reliance. Throughout her university, Jahanvi has taken on numerous leadership roles in cultural events. She aims to combine her expertise in finance with her commitment to inclusive development, building initiatives that bridges the gap of financial literacy among the underprivileged sections of the society. Through the Millennium Fellowship, she aspires to amplify these efforts and contribute meaningfully to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
