Christ (Deemed to be University) Central Campus | Bengaluru, India | Advancing SDG 15, SDG 13 & UNAI 6

" I believe the Millennium Fellowship Program will help me enhance my leadership and project management skills while helping me develop other skills like cross-cultural collaboration, advocacy, and impactful communication to create meaningful change. The most important reason why I am excited to be a part of the Millennium Fellowship Program is because it gives a chance to underrepresented regions such as Northeast India to be a part of global conversations, where our challenges, stories and solutions can finally be seen and heard. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Xomriddhi
Xomriddhi is a sustainability-focused social impact initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the environmental challenges facing Northeast India, particularly those caused by unplanned development, deforestation, loss of biodiversity, and climate instability. The project addresses the urgent need to balance economic growth with ecological preservation, emphasizing that true prosperity must be rooted in environmental responsibility.
Through data-driven research, digital advocacy, and state-specific storytelling, Xomriddhi sheds light on how climate change, resource mismanagement, and declining ecological health are affecting communities across all eight Northeastern states. The initiative is aligned with SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land) and aims to bring regional sustainability issues into national and global conversations.
Xomriddhi creates impact by publishing accessible content on LinkedIn and Instagram, writing articles, and engaging youth and professionals in policy-oriented discussions. The goal is to encourage informed action, promote sustainable practices, and advocate for the mandatory inclusion of ecological assessments in all development decisions affecting the region.
