" "Data has the power to illuminate inequalities and inspire action. Through the Millennium Fellowship, I am excited to collaborate with like-minded change makers to transform data-driven insights into meaningful solutions that advance the UNAI principles and SDGs. This opportunity will strengthen my ability to merge analytical skills with social impact, creating pathways for more equitable and sustainable communities." "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Bridging Data for Equity

My project, Bridging Data for Equity, focuses on using data to raise awareness about social inequalities, particularly crimes against women and children in India. Often, important data remains buried in reports and spreadsheets, making it hard for people to grasp the scale of these issues. To address this, I am developing an interactive dashboard that visually represents crime trends across different regions, time periods and categories. This dashboard will allow users—whether students, researchers or policymakers—to explore patterns in crime rates, identify high-risk areas and understand how factors like location, time and law enforcement impact these issues. By making data accessible and easy to interpret, I hope to encourage informed discussions and inspire action. I also plan to engage my university community through workshops and discussions where students can interact with the dashboard and learn how data can be a tool for social change. By bridging the gap between raw data and real-world impact, my goal is to create a resource that not only informs but also empowers individuals to advocate for safer communities.
