Millennium Fellowship Project: UpliftHER
UpliftHER is a project to provide financial literacy to women in the informal sector by teaching them risk-free methods of investments, savings, schemes by the government in order to uplift them and pull them out of poverty. Moreover, the project also aims at improving the gender equality by allowing women to enter into the sector of finance and banking which is often dominated by men.
About the Millennium Fellow
Parinika Srinivasa Reddy is a bright and passionate scholar with a background in History and Political Science. Born and raised in India, she is deeply committed to public policy, governance and socio-political change. Her academic interests span across gender history, public policy and international studies, driving her passion to address educational gaps for informal sector workers, especially women. Through her leadership and research skills gained during her experience in various university-level clubs and associations, she aspires to shape impactful policies and contribute meaningfully to global development initiatives, while also contributing to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
