" Passion for social justice and equality inspires my work in empowering underprivileged children through education. The Millennium Fellowship excites me because it offers a platform to collaborate with like-minded peers, enhance my leadership skills, and align my impact with the UNAI principles and SDGs. I am eager to strengthen my ability to drive inclusive and sustainable change "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Empowering Futures: Local Drive, Youth Change
Empowering Futures (EF) is an independent project aimed at reducing inequality in access to education by supporting children from Dalit, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and other marginalized communities. Education is one of the strongest tools for social mobility, yet lakhs of children across India continue to be deprived of their right to quality learning due to financial constraints, discrimination, and social exclusion. This project seeks to bridge the gap by creating awareness, encouraging equal opportunities, and providing learning support through community-driven initiatives.
During the Millennium Fellowship period (August–December 2025), EF will organize a minimum of three interactive initiatives. These will include:
1) Awareness workshops with children and parents on the importance of education.
2) Peer-learning and mentorship sessions led by volunteers and university students.
Our measurable goal is to directly engage with at least 300 children and families across marginalized communities by the end of December 2025. The project aims not only to raise awareness but also to empower communities and promote education as a right rather than a privilege, helping to build a more equal and just society.
