Christ (Deemed to be University) Bannerghatta Campus | Bengaluru, India | Advancing SDG 4, SDG 11 & UNAI 6

" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it offers a platform to transform ideas into action, aligning my passion for sustainability and social equity with tangible community impact. I believe small, committed efforts can drive meaningful change toward the Sustainable Development Goals. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: PRAKRITHI
Through my Millennium Fellowship project, PRAKRITHI, I facilitated sustainability education sessions for 13– to 15-year-old students at the Desire Society NGO and Gottigere Government School in Bengaluru, focusing on SDG 12. The sessions emphasised the importance of responsible consumption, waste management, and resource conservation through clear explanations and engaging discussions. Students were encouraged to reflect on their daily habits—such as conserving water and electricity, limiting plastic use, and segregating waste—to understand how these actions impact environmental and societal outcomes. While photographs could not be taken at the NGO, both engagements effectively raised awareness and motivated students to adopt sustainable practices in their everyday lives.
