Millennium Fellowship Project: Bridge the Gap

Bridge the Gap aims to provide quality education and holistic learning for children aged 11–14 in the urban slums of Bengaluru, particularly those facing financial challenges and lacking academic support. The project’s core objective is to strengthen the foundational knowledge of students in crucial subjects while enhancing their understanding of practical life skills and raising awareness of critical issues. The project will organize tutoring and awareness sessions twice a week, conducted by trained volunteers from Christ University. These sessions will focus on improving academic performance, enhancing problem-solving skills, and encouraging critical thinking. For older students (aged 14–16), specialized sessions will be held to develop communication skills and career awareness. Training on the usage of technological resources and the internet will be prioritized to ease their academic experience. To ensure sustainable impact, the project will pursue resource mobilization through fundraising drives, collaborations with NGOs, and corporate partnerships for CSR funding. The goal is to provide essential learning materials, better infrastructure, and access to digital resources. By creating a supportive learning environment and raising awareness about career opportunities, the project aims to positively impact 100-150 students during the Fellowship period, equipping them with the tools and confidence to build a brighter future.
