" I believe that Millennium Fellowship is the best opportunity that has come to me at the right time of my personal and interpersonal developmental phase. I strongly hope to explore and expand my skills and connect with my fellow members through this fellowship. In this fast growing world, it is necessary to take steps that align with UN SDGs and being a Millennium fellow, I believe I can be successful in it. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Healthy Mind for Better Tomorrow

Individuals with healthy and active minds are assets to the nation. My project, "HEALTHY MIND FOR BETTER TOMORROW" is an attempt to let the world know how important it is to take care of one's mental health (creating and spreading awareness). There exists lots of stigma regarding mental health and seeking out for its medication/support, particularly in countries like India, which I aimed to change through my project (destigmatisation). The project also aims to work on anti-suicidal action plans which are the product of ill-mental condition. It mainly targeted at improving the mental condition of individuals particularly the students and the working class who are more prone to imbalances in their mental conditions. It is a basic human right to have a pleasant and peaceful state of mind. It should be effortlessly possible, which at the present global scenario is impossible. The project was targeting a factor which is instrumental in defining the total well being of an individual - the mental well-being. Thus the project is aligned with United Nation's Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being and UNAI 6: Human Rights.
