" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it’s a platform to turn ideas into tangible impact, collaborate with like-minded changemakers, and contribute to solutions that uplift communities and create lasting change. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Green for Chuka

The project is about making the environment cleaner and ensuring proper recycling of waste. We have developed an app that shows members the different places to place particular waste in the community. We are planning on demarcating different locations to dispose different types of waste which will be later properly disposed. The app will also have a points redemption system for every time a person disposes material in our specific collection points. We are in partnership with a company that will give us money for every plastic taken to them which will in turn use as an incentive to reward the top members that’s deposit waste in our area.
