" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it gives me the chance to learn, share, and grow with young leaders who care about making the world better. My passion for public health and community service drives me to create small changes that improve people’s lives. Through this Fellowship, I hope to gain skills and connections that will help me make a bigger impact "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Flow with Pride

The Flow With Pride Project helps girls in rural areas stay in school by supporting their menstrual health. Many girls miss classes or drop out because they lack pads or face shame during their periods. The project teaches them about their bodies and how to manage their periods safely. It also provides sanitary products so they don’t have to skip school. The project also works to make menstrual health a community issue, not just a girls’ issue, by involving boys, parents, and leaders. This helps reduce stigma and encourages everyone to support girls. In the end, the project builds confidence and improves girls’ education and well-being.
