ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2025

United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

" I am pleased to be a Millennium Fellow as it will offer me an opportunity to share with like-minded people, exchange ideas with various views, and enhance my contribution to environmental conservation. My passion is rooted in the need to ensure that I become an advocate of Sustainable Development Goal 13: Climate Action, and Sustainable Development Goal 15: Life on Land. I will always work to empower people to be active in their activities to protect the environment and create a more sustainable future through community outreach and awareness. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Environmental Conservation: A Framework for Sustainability

This project entails reaching out to the local communities and creating an awareness to them about the conservation of the environment and also enlighten them about the dangers of failing to preserve the current environment as it shall be detrimental to them in the future. We also look forward to planting as much trees as possible to increase the forest cover do away with dissertation. We look forward for the sustainable development of the environment in our local community. Key activities include community outreach, raising awareness about environmental issues, and collaborating with local residents to implement sustainable practices.

About the Millennium Fellow

Edwina Asha Winga is a passionate Kenyan law student who is a firm believer in conservation of the environment. She is also committed as seen in her participation in community outreach programs that she has done awareness campaigns of the importance of conserving the environment. She takes pride in the fact that she belongs to the Millennium Fellowship as she considers it a great chance to enlarge her knowledge and become more influential. She anticipates substantive communication interactions, partnerships, and mutual learning with the people she identifies with who share her dream of sustainable development and healthier and sturdier environment that would benefit future generations.
