Millennium Fellowship Project: Smart Agri
A system that provides offline, AI-powered crop recommendations and plant disease diagnosis for rural farmers. It uses geolocation, soil data, and local climate patterns to suggest the best crops to grow, and uses image-based analysis to detect pests and diseases. The platform integrates with USSD/SMS for accessibility, enabling farmers to receive recommendations, alerts, and market insights without internet access. It supports seamless deployment across mobile and edge devices for real-time field use.
About the Millennium Fellow
Francis Kamau Njuguna is a 20 year old Computer Science Student . He was born on the remote outskirts of Kiambu a town known as Wangige ,Kenya. He is bright ,enthusiastic ,a dreamer , visionary and quite a leader. He likes Cats and helping people out or regardless of who they are. He is curious and willing to learn. I mean he has almost 6 hobbies Chess ,he is in the School's Taekwondo team , He likes tinkering around with electronics ,plays the piano ,rides bmx bikes and does cool stunts (Failed almost all of them),loves adventures , a fun of puzzles . I guess that's it about Francis.
