United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. This year, 60,000+ young leaders applied to join the Class of 2025 on 7,000+ campuses across 170 nations. 290+ campuses worldwide (less than 5%) were selected to host the 4,500+ Millennium Fellows.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Redefining Menstrual Cycle

The project is to basically teach women not to be ashamed of their menstrual cycles and come out in large to support fellow women and seek help from other people and professionals if need be and not feel judged.
The initiative targets young women in the community, who are most affected by menstrual stigma. Key accomplishments include recruiting students as menstrual champions and distributing sanitary pads and fostering awareness, support.

About the Millennium Fellow

Joyce Mucheke is a brilliant smart student from Kenya. She's very patriotic and since she can remember it she has always wanted to be the best advocate of law. She attends Chuka University school of law and she's just in her third year of study.
She passionate about helping those who need the help which stems from her own background and also her interaction with other people. She's keen on mostly helping women and young girls especially concerning menstrual and health in general. She hopes to one be able to start her own foundation where women and young girls can seek refuge in cases of GBV and FGM among other problems that women face.
