Millennium Fellowship Project: DRUG ABUSE AWARENESS

My project is solely based on drug abuse and misuse awareness. It focuses on the reasons why people start engaging in drugs, and the latter effects of drug abuse. I shall begin with doing adequate research on reasons why people start taking drugs such as stress, depression, idleness and peer pressure. I shall also do ample research on health and behavioral consequences of taking drugs. Then, having done research I will educate the larger public especially the younger generation on the harmful effect of drugs. I will examine the effect of drugs not only on individuals but also on families, the community and the country at large. I shall introduce programs that will help educate those in society about the dangers of drugs, having been once a victim of a drug addict at some point in my life.I shall also create safe spaces for those already abusing drugs where they shall be able to interact with those who have survived drug addiction and learn from them. I will encourage people to live a healthy lifestyle free from drug abuse and misuse. I will also encourage those who are idle to learn skills and to develop[ their talents for drug avoidance.
